February 7th through February 12th is everyone's chance to pay tribute to their counselor’s unique role and immeasurable contributions. This year, The American School Counselor Association's 2005 theme is "School Counselors Point You in the Right Direction!" From strengthening students' social skills to increasing their opportunities for career exploration, counselors provide quintessential and guidance that not only increase the quality of their education day to day, but most often increase students educational outcomes. Counselors play a key role individual interventions and group prevention activities that add to the whole school climate. Gather your whole school community, pay tribute to its strengths and thank the counselor too!
