The National Association of Drug Court Professionals (NADCP) will sponsor National Drug Court Month during May 2005.

The event provides drug court practitioners an opportunity to increase awareness of drug courts and their mission at the federal, state, and local levels. This year, NADCP is asking drug courts across the country to schedule commencement ceremonies on May 20, 2005, as part of the observance.

The National Association of Drug Court Professionals (NADCP) and the Congress of State Drug Court Associations (CSDCA) are partnering to take the celebration of National Drug Court Month to new heights in May, 2005.

The National Drug Court Month Field Kit, as in years past, contains a wealth of information and guidance on getting the drug court message to decision-makers, media, and the public. In addition, you will notice some exciting changes:

o National Drug Court Graduation/Commencement Day on May 20, 2005.
o A free one-year NADCP organizational membership for the local drug court with the most innovative campaign.
o Revised and Updated Talking Points will allow practitioners to deliver a stronger message with current research on the efficacy and success of the drug court model.
