Restorative Justice in Action conference
On June 2-6, in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, the Community Justice Institute at Florida Atlantic University will present its first annual restorative justice conference, "Restorative Justice in Action." Conference topics will include reentry and civic engagement, balanced and restorative justice performance measures, and conferencing.
The conference is part of the Balanced and Restorative Justice (BARJ) project, a national initiative funded by the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention. The BARJ model involves victims, offenders, and communities in the juvenile justice process and seeks to balance sanctions, public safety, and rehabilitative needs.
